Nothing beats the smell, taste and experience of warm, freshly baked breads – for most of our customers, it is an experience filled with memories. For delis, retailers and in-store bakeries, however, there are a number of difficulties when producing freshly baked bread and ready to serve pastries. Enter our convenient range of solutions to suit your needs.
Our convenience range can be split up into 3 segments:
- Parbaked options: Mainly artisan breads, rolls requiring a short bake off time after defrosting the frozen product. Concept very popular in coffee shops, delis and instore bakeries.
- Thaw and Serve options: This consists mainly of fully baked frozen lines such a brioche and hamburger/hotdog buns as well as croissants and bagels. The product is thawed out and lightly toasted to refresh the product. Ideal for Quick service restaurants and any Food service organisation.
- Freezer to Oven option: This is solely limited to our famous Pasteis de Nata range, either traditional size or cocktail. No defrost needed and straight into the oven.
1) Ultimate convenience
These convenience concepts ensure that clients can have the ease, convenience and control of baking their goods in their own time, with goods ready in little to no time. Whether distributing to chains or to individual clients, it provides convenience to the customer, to bake and enjoy the product whenever they choose to do so. This ensures that you always have fresh stock; never run out of stock and ulitmately maximise sales.
2) Extended reach and distribution
Freshly baked goods are a time-sensitive business. Being perishable, they have very short shelf life, normally only a few days, giving clients very short windows to work with and a constant battle to maintain correct stock rotation and control. Our convenience range options allow for this issue to be easily resolved. The frozen product can be distributed as far as needed and still be fresh and enjoyable when the customer bakes it at their location. Our convenience range products are also less sensitive to breaks in the cold chain and many of the issues of distributing raw frozen product are greatly reduced.
3) Cost effectiveness
Setting up a bakery, be it small or larger scale, can be costly. Through outsourcing the preparation of bakery products, clients can save tens to hundreds of thousands of Rands on initial set up costs. Not to mention the ongoing costs of running and maintaining machinery.
In addition to extra labour costs, ineffective training and lack of skill in the industry often leads to inconsistent and poor quality products, which is able to be avoided by utilizing the options provided by us to the market.. The end result is, less waste, lower overheads, better margins for operators and increased consumer savings at the till.
For distributors out there, procuring locally not only supports the local economy but also reduces the risk from imports; prevents tying up valuable capital in container shipments over many months and results in shorter lead time on orders placed.
