Social ResponsibilityPie in the Sky's role in the community...

Looking AheadGrowing local communities

We remain committed to assisting communities with ongoing feeding schemes and dontaions. Notable beneficiaries include Mission of Charities, Anglican Catholic Church, Lansdowne Soup Kitchen and Helping Hand Missionaries to mention a few.

Pie in The Sky is committed towards the promotion of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment act, no. 53 of 2003 and Governments' Black Economic Empowerment Strategy.

To this end, we have gone to great lengths in sourcing reputable subject matter experts to guide the business with the view of facilitating and accelerating the implementation broad based black economic empowerment in a meaningful and sustainable manner.

In 2009 we were audited and recognised as a Level 2 Contributor (QSE Enterprise). At the present moment, we are in the process of renewing the certification.

Our packaging mainly involves utilising recycled cardboard carton boxes. In addition to this all carboard items accumulated on-site are sent to the Oasis Recycling centre in Claremont to be recycled once again which provides a living to the disabled.
We are, on an ongoing basis, looking to move away from plastics to more sustainable packaging materials.
